Meet Our Team

Jill joined the Rice Creek Animal Hospital team in the summer of 2019 and quickly became part of the Rice Creek family. She has been a Veterinary Technician since 2009 and, after spending five years on the corporate side of veterinary medicine, returned to her true passion—working directly with pets and their people.

Jill became Practice Manager in January 2023 and enjoys helping lead the Rice Creek team while finding ways to continually improve the experience for our patients, clients, and staff. She is passionate about continuing education and staying current with developments in veterinary medicine. Jill has also completed Fear Free® training and strives to help make every patient's visit as comfortable and positive as possible.

Outside of the clinic, Jill shares her home with her husband, John, and their ever-growing collection of four-legged family members: Jersey and Moíra (pronounced “Mee-rah,” meaning “fate” in Greek), two Staffordshire Terrier mixes; cats Bunsen Honeydew, Sprite, Lars, and Pablo Picatso; and a Betta fish named Little Rainbow Mermaid — who was lovingly named by a 6-year-old. These days, Jill has also discovered a new hobby in houseplants—although keeping them alive is an ongoing adventure!

When she isn't at work, Jill enjoys relaxing at home with her pets, spending time with friends, and cooking and baking something delicious. She especially enjoys the simple things: good food, good company, and plenty of time with the animals she loves.

Rachel graduated from Argosy University in 2017 before continuing her education at the University of Minnesota. She then spent five years working in anesthesia, where she developed extensive experience in advanced anesthesia care and recovery.

General practice has always held a special place in Rachel’s heart because she values the strong bonds that develop between pets and their families. She holds certifications in Fear Free practices and Recovery CPR, and she is currently working toward her Canine Arthritis Management certification. While Rachel loves every animal that comes through the clinic, she has a special soft spot for pugs.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time up north, making memories with family, and watching football. She shares her home with her fiancé and their two dogs: Oona, a pug, and Delta, a black Lab mix. Their endless shenanigans have helped her grow throughout her career.
